Puukko Trio 3,4,5 th attempt.

Well, I wanted to try a few different materials and shapes to handle these 95mm carbon polar whittlers and a lauri. The unknown hardwood, hopefully someone can ID as I was given an old off cut as part of a deal at a wood yard. I thought it might be Teak?

I think I am going to concentrate on the flatter slightly barrelled shape as there seems to be slightly less roll in the hand when carving, than my previous handles.

All handles hand carved with a knife and finished with paper. Hopefully if I can sell them at the next two shows im working at, I'll be able to buy a grinder

Top one - Brass, brown leather, curly birch, birch bark, Teak? natural leather,...Curly birch. On a Lauri.

Middle one - Brass, Brown leather, curly birch (removed from the first) leather and possibly Teak. on a polar.

Bottom one - Brass, leather, and yew on a Polar. This is the rounded one the other two are the flatter.

Im quite fond of the middle one. But im cuffed how they all turned out. Quite busy doing three at once. Will be making sheaths for them at the weekend.

Hope you like.

Great work Addo :D
Agree with your comment about the middle one ;) The handle and a more parallel blade are very nice indeed.
